Some people are negligent of their duties, but say that they will be faithful if they are given greater things and complain that the people around them do not recognize them. It is because they put their value on the recognition and favor of others more than on fulfilling their duties. Then, they have difficulties in bearing good fruits. Jesus says in Luke 16:10, "He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much."
