Parents sometime use an oppressive way to make their child obey their words. For example, they say to their child "You'll be punished unless you brush your teeth while I count ten." Bu they never count numbers of ten at once but count like, "One, Two…. Nine, Nine and a half, Nine and a half and a half…" In fact, they lead their child to obey their word because they want to keep his health. It's not really to punish them. This is the same with God. The reason why He tells us not to hate others, not to commit adultery but to love is because He does not will to punish us when we don't keep His word but to help us prosper and receive blessing.
