During the early period of the church, various gifts were given to the members of the Church of Corinth. Among the gifts were prophecy, healing, and speaking in tongues. However, there was a problem. Those who receive gifts boasted about them and troubles rose between the members. The apostle Paul sent a letter to solve this problem.
