If you devoted your time and money to help others but nobody acknowledged you for it, how would you feel? Many people would feel neglected, mistreated, and become disheartened. Others would complain about it. Some people may regret their devotion and what had been given. Some may even get disappointed, thinking 'I'm worthless.' This is not a proof of true devotion. Jesus was crucified with joy because He loved mankind. We who received this love should also devote ourselves to our neighbors with this love.
