Water is essential for the growth of plants. There are differences between species, but no plant can live without water. Like plants, we lose our vitality without water, which is the Word of God. It doesn't mean that we lose our physical lives. Just as a withered flower revives by a shower of sweet rain, our spirit can receive vitality from the Word of God. We can receive a vitality that is eternal, and go to heaven with eternal life.
"He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake" (Psalm 23:3).
