The Duty of the Church

The most important duty of the church is to lead people to the salvation of Jesus Christ and lead them to enter into the kingdom of Heaven. In Romans 6:23 it is recorded that the wages of sin is death. I have preached that we must cast away sins to gain full salvation. There are some people who do not like it when I talk about sins. If a doctor does not tell a patient who is suffering from cancer that he has been diagnosed with cancer due to his concern for the patient's emotional state, the patient will not be given any options to receive treatment. This will ultimately lead to his death. In the same way it is the role of the church to inform those who have sinned that they have to repent, turn from their wrong doings, and enter into the final destination, the heavenly kingdom.
