Moses handed over his authority to a great leader named Joshua. Joshua had the tremendous responsibility of leading the Israelites into the land of Canaan. As recorded in Joshua 1:9, God gave him strength and promised to allow for him to succeed wherever he went and told him to be strong and courageous. However, there was a prerequisite recorded in Joshua 1:7. It is that the promise would be fulfilled only if Joshua was careful to act according to all the law which Moses had commanded him from which he was not to 'turn from it to the right or to the left'. In this same way, God also allows for us to succeed wherever we go when we act upon His will.
