God never lies and He keeps His promises as stated in Numbers 23:19. When we keep our words with unchanging hearts just as God does, we can receive His blessings. Suppose that you already accepted a contract, but there is another contract that is offering greater benefits to you. What would you do? Some would accept the latter offer without hesitation even though they know the choice would cause a loss for others. They just think to themselves, "I cannot help it." They may enjoy the benefits for the moment, but they cannot receive God's great blessings.
