A lazy man doesn't make efforts to improve his own abilities, but just thinks with vague hope, 'Things will get better soon'. This is just greed and it is like a castle in the air. This is also applied to our Christian life. If we make no improvement in keeping the Word of God, it shows that we are lazy and indolent in spirit. When we dwell in the Word of God, we can enjoy a prosperous life as well as receive salvation. By keeping this fact in our hearts, over time we should be leading a more fervent Christian life.
"Not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord" (Romans 12:11).
