It is beautiful to cover others' transgressions with the heart of love. Joseph in the Gospel of Matthew did not condemn the Virgin Mary but decided to break the engagement quietly when he noticed she had been pregnant. At that time adulterer or adulteress had to be stoned to death according to the law. But Joseph tried to cover her transgression. In fact, she never committed adultery but was pregnant by the power of the Holy Spirit, and a little while later Joseph came to know it through the angel of the Lord and rejoiced. God chose Joseph, for he had this good heart, and even today He searches for him who has the love by which he covers others' transgressions and accomplishes His works through that good person.
