When you pass through a small gate, you have to bend your body in a humble manner. But when you meet a person of virtue, no matter how high his position is and no matter how renowned he is, you don't have to lower yourself in that humble manner. Generally speaking, it is not easy to approach him whose heart has been closed because of his pride and stubbornness, and even if it is possible, one cannot easily expect hear from him. On the contrary, a person whose heart is gentle and humble gives others rest and peace so that many people enjoy coming together to him.
