People can easily become acquainted with those who have similar temperaments or tastes, but feel uncomfortable with those who they don't share anything in common. Suppose two persons. One man is candid and outspoken and the other is meticulous and does not readily express his feelings. The first may think that the other is narrow-minded, while the other may feel uncomfortable with his directness. That's because neither of them can understand and embrace the other one. Just as many birds can nest on a big tree, if we broaden our minds, we can embrace many people and accomplish great things. Mark 4:32 reads, "When [a mustard seed] is sown, it grows up … and forms large branches; so that the birds of the air can nest under its shade."
