Some people break peace with God while trying not to break peace with others. But peace with God is more important. God told us not to become guarantors for debts (Proverbs 22:26). And He commanded us to owe nothing to anyone except the love for one another (Romans 13:8). However, when close friends or relatives ask you to borrow money or become guarantors for their debt, you might not stand to reject the request, thereby violating God's Word. It often results in your hardship. You can't say you tried to keep peace because it is just to follow and do what you desired. However, peace with God is far more important than peace with men.
