When asked how to raise children well in the Lord, I advise them to offer up family services. My family regularly offered up family service while my three children were growing up. Young as they were, they took their turn presiding over the service or giving representative prayer. In this way they became competent speakers. They spoke clearly and also learned many new words. Moreover, they naturally read the Bible and it encouraged them to enjoy reading other books. Through me they got various explanations about the Scriptures within their language levels so that they could understand it better and practice God's Word in their lives and grow up well.
