Sometimes we are not sure if we should give advice to our friends or those who are close to us. First of all, we should check whether the advice we want to give is for their benefit, or is it because their behavior does not agree with our standard and we don't like it. In the latter case, you might think, 'It is not right. I can't stand it anymore!' Although your advice may be warranted and proper, if you do it with discomfort, it cannot renew the person. It will just hurt their feelings (1 Corinthians 13:1).
