Whether it is in wealth, appearance, knowledge, family background, and a myriad of other things, many people compare themselves with others. At times they may feel proud of themselves, and other times they may feel small and insignificant. However, we must be aware that it is not others with whom we should compare ourselves, but we should compare ourselves with the Word of God. Based on the Word, we need to discover untruthful things in our hearts and replace them with the truth. As we fill our hearts with goodness and the truth, our lives will be more valuable and beautiful. "...for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7).
