World Christian Doctors Network (WCDN) is an organization of Christian doctors transcending denominations, headquartered in South Korea. The members promote fellowship and testify to the living God through divine healing case presentations and key lectures on duties of Christian doctors. From June 14th to 15th in 2013, the 10th International Christian Medical Conference was held by WCDN (World Christian Doctors Network) in Toluca, Mexico.
With approximately 350 medical doctors and professionals from 24 countries in attendance, the conference kicked off under the main theme of "Spirituality and Medicine". In his welcome message, Dr. Gilbert Chae, President of WCDN appealed for solidarity of Christian doctors in faith and urged them to awaken medical professionals and intellectuals through the conference. Dr. Jaerock Lee, Founder and Board Chairman of WCDN said on his video message, "The ministry of WCDN is absolutely necessary at this end time to lead countless souls to the way of salvation. So, I ask you to dedicate yourselves to this goal with all your hearts, minds and strength."
Dr. Daniel Fuentes, Chairman of Mexico Organizing Committee stated, expressing his gratefulness to WCDN Headquarters, "It is a great honor for us to be the first country in Latin America to hold WCDN International Christian Medical Conference".
With concrete medical data, this conference featured seven cases that had been impossible to be medically cured, but were treated by prayer. Dr. Chae presented cases of two people whose medical situations were critical due to cerebral hemorrhage and both were healed through Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer with faith.
Dr. Pastrana Figueroa, Mexican plastic surgeon delivered his daughter's case. His daughter slipped into a coma with takotsubo cardiomyopathy after receiving plastic surgery from him. But after she received Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer transcending space and time, she recovered. Dr. David Eu, a family physician from Singapore, presented his son's case. His son had sepsis caused by a urinary tract infection complicated with paralytic ileus and jaundice but he was restored to health by Dr. Lee's prayer.
After each presentation, various questions and answers ensued. Among the presentations, the individuals in the cases, that is, the people who experienced divine healing, appeared personally—which drew great attention from the attendees! Dr. Andre Gasiorowski (Israel), President of Helping Hand Coalition, introduced the case of a female violinist who had come down with Hodgkin's lymphoma and recovered to normal by divine power. After the presentation, she gave her personal testimony and glorified God with her performance.
In addition, special lectures were given that aroused spirituality in the attendees as medical professionals. Dr. Luis Paz, originally from Puerto Rico, and Dr. Apolos Landa from Peru lectured on the Christian doctor's vocation and the aspects of respect emphasizing that doctors should be able to provide patients with recovery both spiritually and physically.
Dr. Alvin Hwang gave a special lecture on "The Principles that We Need to Know to Receive Divine Healing" based on Dr. Jaerock Lee's sermons. Additionally, he explained about the association between sanctification and healing of God's power by demonstrating his daughter Lucia Hwang's healing case of calcific tendinitis on her wrist.
In particular, the performance of Sound of Light Chorus from Performing Arts Committee of Manmin Central Church gave the attendees a strong feeling and sense of unity among one another and their wonderful praise and dance gave great grace and emotional fulfillment.
After the conference, Dr. Daniel Fuentes said, "Jesus Christ performs miracles the same yesterday and today and shows His love towards the world. This conference greatly glorified God through medical proofs of divine healing, special lectures that restored spirits, and the Spirit-filled performances, which were astounding!"
In the meantime, Costa Rican Ambassador Fernando Borbon to Guatemala gave his healing testimony of pulmonary tumor by Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer and offered up closing prayer of the first day conference. The 11th Conference is to be held in Bulgaria in 2014.
